Nominee: Name, address, contact telephone number, email address, age, and relationship to the nominator (if applicable).

Additional personal information may be included about the nominee’s background, including sensitive details like health or criminal records, which may be gathered during our research from publicly available sources.

We process your data for legitimate interests, such as:

Contacting nominees to confirm their interest in participating in the awards process.
Contacting nominees to inform them of an award result.
Assessing nominees’ suitability for awards.
Contacting nominees’ next of kin in case of an emergency.
Organising any attendance at the Awards event and inquiries related to the awards.

We may also use your information to fulfil any legal obligations, or for publicity purposes as part of the Awards and as outlined in the terms.

Use of information for award selection and ceremony

The Pride of Essex Awards uses nomination form information together with research, to create shortlists for each award. Shortlisted nominees’ details are shared with our judging panel, who select the award recipients. Award recipients are then contacted to confirm their willingness to accept the award, and if agreeable, we use their personal information to arrange their attendance at the awards ceremony and to include such details as necessary in any citation read at the awards event. Award recipients' details and photograph or image will be shared on the Awards website and social media.
